Webinar: Overview of the Crumb Rubber in Roading Action Plan

Trevor is responsible for all operational aspects of Tyrewise, and has a particular interest in enabling value from end-of-life tyres (ELT’s) into new and existing markets in Aotearoa New Zealand. This aligns with the Tyrewise objectives and contributes to a circular economy for ELT’s in New Zealand.

Jeremy has over 20 years of professional experience in materials research across several fields, from advanced ceramics, metallurgy, to bituminous materials, for public and private research organisations. He is passionate about sustainability and has been working towards resource efficiency since his PhD at Imperial College London. For the past 10 years or so, he represented WSP and worked with the likes of the NZTA and other central and local government entities to investigate feasibility of material technologies for the transport sector. During which he co-authored several publications relating to the uptake of tyre-derived rubber in roading materials for NZTA, led the development of the action plan on behalf of Tyrewise, and has been contributing towards the regulated scheme as one of the technical advisory group chairs. He is currently working as an independent advisor to continue his mahi in resource efficiency by fostering relationships across public and private sectors.
