Speakers

Anna D'Angelo
National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO), Director of Industry Partnerships and Technology

Anna has extensive experience and oversight for research initiatives centred on innovation, circular economy and decarbonisation. Prior to joining NTRO, Anna worked 5 years at the Australian flexible Pavement Association (AfPA) as the Executive Director of Technology and Leadership. Her main responsibilities included leading national technical committees, stakeholders’ engagement and developing technical guidelines and specifications. Anna has initiated and led several significant research and demonstration projects focused on circular economy and sustainable solutions for the Australian pavement industry and promoted construction best practice. In this role, Anna has represented industry in the Austroads Pavement Task Force and several Austroads committees, has been part of sustainability and international committees and has collaborated with several international associations to exchange knowledge and foster collaboration. Prior to working in Australia, Anna spent 10 years in New Zealand where she worked at Fulton Hogan as Department Manager (Bitumen and Asphalt) and Road Science (Downer) as product development leader.
